Too many times back in the dungeon... Literally Blizzard...
I just did a dungeon with collecting animus... because the first time I turned left instead of right, I went to the end of the dungeon to kill an elite who dropped anima near the boss room... Then I had to run ALL the way back to kill the elites I missed on the far right in the dungeon... BUT! On top of that, I then missed ONE of those little anima orbs at the previous priority, so I had to run to where this orb died at the end of the dungeon.
THEN I was finally able to enter the dungeon... 3 turns back and forth is LOTS of backs.
Just clearing those silly targets in the dungeon... Animus Collector and killing them all is tedious... not to mention picking up a stone or whatever and giving it back. Dungeons will be fun to explore with hidden rooms, events, bosses, and more. Do thrilling and surprising dungeons rather than boring dungeons with no excitement and just boring work.
A good example is Diablo 2... there you went to a dungeon because it has good density, high area level and/or unique chest/boss... Don't do stupid, pointless, repetitive goals without who cares.
It's 2023 and the ARPG genre has evolved a lot since Diablo II. The idea of different random layouts in sequence is great, but it lacks variation as well as surprising content... I know that's fixable and I have no doubt about it. what Blizzard will do maybe make some changes.. I just hope they drop the whole idea of a dungeon target.
I wouldn't mind if you could carry more than one Bloodstone/Mysterious Object/Random Nonsense at a time, but when I zoned and saw "return 3 X" in solo, all I could do was sigh.
I like having to run back and forth through completely barren areas that I cleared once, instead of just being able to run around while collecting everything I need and then toss them all back at the same time. at the time.
